late evening. Crappie are good in 2 to 5 feet of water over brush and rock piles, stickups and blowdowns hitting small minnows and jigs.
Flathead catfish are good from bridges to rivers, and bluecats are hitting good lakewide. Usual baits for cats are best: shad, minnows,
cut bait, stink bait and clam snouts. White perch and white bass are being found mixed in with stripers following schools of shad.
Shadraps and spinners are the best baits. Largemouth bass are making a poor showing with no patterns whatsoever. Some small bass
can be found in 3 to 8 feet of water, with larger ones suspended in deeper water. Carolina rigs, plastics and crankbait are the best baits.
