Tom Minichino, Chester Howard, Charley Crowder and Gary Adams joined me for a striper hunt in the delta on Friday. We left Lauritzen Yacht Harbor t at 8am in the fog and slowly motored over to Montezuma Island. We soaked some shad and mud suckers for a couple of shakers and one nice 37 inch striper that Chester released.
As the tide turned we moved down to the mothball fleet and anchored by buoy 6. There the bite turned on and everyone caught fish.
We ended the day with 20 stripers (two kept for the dinner table) and one cat fish.
