Hi all,
We put reward tags (round white disks) on sturgeon dorsal fins so we can estimate annual survival and harvest rates, estimate abundance, learn about year-class strength, and understand migrations.
The more re-sightings of tagged sturgeon we hear about the better we can estimate survival rate, harvest rate, and abundance. We'd like a lot more re-sightings and I hope you'll help.
If you catch a tagged sturgeon --- whether you release it or not --- would you make a note on your Sturgeon Fishing Report Card so that we can tell which fish had the tag, the length of the fish, and the disk-tag number?
Thanks
