Hi all,
We just finished the second week of tagging striped bass. As usual, we capture fish using drifting gill nets out of Antioch and fyke traps out of Knights Landing.
In 22 drifts we captured about 144 striped bass (mostly legal-sized).
In 40 trap-days (i.e., 10 traps fishing 4 days) we captured about 50 striped bass (mostly legal-sized).
We caught just a handful of bycatch (no salmonids).
On a good day we can get 1000 fish in a single trap and hundreds in each net, so (like last week) it's still pretty slow.
Thanks
