This is a great opportunity for all of our members to support an organization that has the resources to make a difference. Our collective chapters have donated $10,000 to CSPA for legal assistance in the first striped bass lawsuit by the so-called "Coalition for Sustainable Delta". Thankfully, our organization recognizes the value of CSPA, and their impact in fighting for our fish and water. Our challenge has been to motivate our CSBA members and the average fishermen to support an activity that is more than participating in a derby or buying a new rod or reel. This joint project supports both: it allows anglers to provide financial and human support to CSPA and also provide up-to-date fishing information for anglers throughout northern California. Increased support for CSPA is a benefit to all of our members and our chapters. Hopefully you will be in support of this effort in your role as a state officer.
