I got this from someone involved last year at Prospect Island.
"Just got a call from Mike Chotkowski, the Biolgist that gave us a hand out at the Fish rescue at Prospect Island last year.
Looks like some big stripers are still trapped in the drainage channel at the southern end of Prospect that they are going to get out Monday morning.
Right now they have a john boat, a man-portable e-fish unit (to electro shock the fish), a crew of 10 from fish and Game, and a crew of 5 from the Bureau of Reclamation.
They're looking for another 4-5 volunteers to meet up out at the island at about 10am this coming Monday morning to assist in this rescue. It seems that they were planning on this operation in September, but the remaining water is drying up faster than was planned.
If anybody would like to spend a couple hours on Monday helping out, drop Mike an email at chotski@pacbell.net."
