Red & Cliff, I appreciate your responses. I am well aware of the good work you and your constituents have done. I too am retired and with gas at $4.50 a gallon it creates quite a burden. In addition to being a Board Member and Newsletter Editor at the West Delta Chapter, I am the President of the Lower Sherman Island Duck Hunters Association, a Board Member of Restore the Delta,the executor of two estates, Secretary of a mining corporation,the City of Oakley's liason on Delta matters, member of CSPA active in letter writing when alerts come out, active with California Waterfowl Association and the California Outdoor Heritage Alliance and I do have a wife that likes to see me at times. I also have another iron in the fire that will consume a lot more time if I'm appointed, it has to do with our Delta.
I appreciate your invitation to participate on a State level with CSBA but I have a full plate. The intent of my posting was to get more members involved. I'm involved up to my neck! I have been fishing only twice this year and it is the end of June. With over a thousand members there has to be more than just a handful of us that want to make a difference.
