With the closures of Salmon for this year and most likely next year, I think that we should take steps to protect the remaining species that are now, or possibly will be in jeopardy.
The Halibut in San Francisco Bay and near offshore areas are really being hammered.
I would suggest that we send letters or emails to the Fish and Game Commission to use their emergency powers and change the Halibut limit down to two fish. Maybe we should ask for an increase in the minimum size to 25".
I have already sent my request and the CSPA is asking for the same changes
