The Big Valley RV/Boat Show at the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds this upcoming Thursday through Friday – there will be some great seminars by expert anglers in a variety of areas. The show schedule is available at rvboatshow.com, but the following is the schedule over the weekend:
All of the presenters are major supporters of the Stockton Chapter of the California Striped Bass Association.
Jay Sorensen – the founder of CSBA and carries the reputation as the best bait fisherman on the California Delta will speak on striped bass bait fishing techniques on Saturday at 3:15 p.m. and Sunday at 11:30 a.m. Jay is known for refining butterflied shad and his use of long noodle rods. Most area guides have been heavily influenced by his tips and techniques.
Mark Delnero of Fin Addict Sport Fishing will present on sturgeon fishing in the Delta, including specific area, tackle, bait presentation and hook setting do’s and don’t’s. Mark is a very entertaining presenter and a extremely knowledgeable and creative angler.
As mentioned before, Randy Pringle will be presenting all days at 2:00 p.m. on artificial techniques for both stripers and largemouth bass. Randy makes audience participation a major portion of his seminars and is very animated in his presentation.
