Posted by John Poindexter Water deliveries as we all know are the real culprit, however the state and feds are determined to take more in the future. The San Joaquin River lawsuit took 15 years to settle and it will take another 20+ years to implement if ever (we can't wait that long). It's in our hands to do the right thing when it comes to protecting what striper fishery that's left. However I don't see any way that opposing a slot limit protects anything other than the right to continue killing the future of the fishery..... just my $0.02

I know that CSBA is opposed to a slot limit for Striped Bass in the delta and have read the posts as to why. Can anyone tell me what a slot limit would hurt??? The answer is N-O-T-H-I-N-G. It would not hurt a single thing, but it could help!! Isn't that what we are supposed to be about???? Conservation, "Helping the fishery" I don't understand the reasoning behind the opposition to the one thing that will help protect the large female spawners “NOW”.
