Hello Nemo,
I think we're both aware you and I have diverging views in many areas.
Personally, I find the term "slutty" rather negative. Perhaps some people wouldn't find it negative,... and, to each their own, I suppose. I am, however, aware most people just don't take any of this revolving around cigarettes as seriously as I seem to.
IMHO, I don't feel someone has to be "slutty" to enjoy smoking a cigarette, or enjoy sex either. Suckling does have sexual qualities to it, and it seems natural enough to enjoy gratification of our sexual desires. For some of us, perhaps cigarettes themselves are, or become, objects of sexual desire.
Personally, again IMHO, I think characterizing this as "slutty" just brings it down... Perhaps for some people what I characterize as "bringing it down" is just no big deal perhaps because they look at sex, and love, through a very different lens... or again, they just don't take any of this revolving around cigarettes as seriously as I seem to. If either of these is the case, that's fine, but it's just that "slutty", and saying, or implying someone is a "slut" is usually, at least in my limited experience, usually seen as derogatory.
I just think it's perfectly possible for someone to enjoy cigarettes, and enjoy sex, and be a really nice and dignified person too. To me, it just seems that when you use terms like "slutty" it just seems to lead down a road where we should all feel shameful guilt because we have and enjoy experiencing sexual feelings and sensations... and some of us have, or have acquired, sexual feelings revolving around cigarettes.
Perhaps you're going to say this is double talk, but I'm not trying to deny there are many different types of people in this world. Also, I am saying that cigarette smoking behavior can have meaning attached to it in an endless myriad of ways.
Take care,
