$5 is NOTHING, Mark. Try Chicago, where $8-10 cigarettes are the norm, and somehow people don't protest the corrupt governments of both Chicago and Cook County(unlike me, where I do so), by buying cigarettes outside of both jurisdictions. No clue why smokers in Chicago and suburban C(r)ook County still love getting taxed up the wazoo, but somehow people still buy cigarettes anyway.
Still hoping karma will turn against politicians who unnecessarily target cigarettes for high taxation, and will get voted out, but not holding my breath that'll necessarily happen...
