Funny, I see tons of Parliament sightings wherever I go in the Chicago area(and regardless if I'm in the city or suburbs). I have to likely conclude Parliament isn't popular in rural areas of the Midwest, and is far more popular in cities, and their surrounding metropolitan areas.
I did have a good bit of Parliament sightings at my former downstate public college I used to attend in Illinois, but I do know at that college, many people who attended college there were often from one of several more populated metropolitan areas of Chicago(including Springfield, the Metro East suburbs of Saint Louis(this is basically defined as any communities/suburbs on the IL side outside of Saint Louis), Decatur, Rockford, etc.). The number of students from both the Chicago and Peoria areas stood out by very far, and there was never a shortage of Parliament sightings at this college. I still bet Parliaments are popular among female students there, to this day....
