Interestingly enough, while Age of the Sentry #1 seemed to simply be a collection of short stories "that never were" with the Sentry as protagonist and a Golden or Silver Age feel to them, Age of the Sentry #2 implies something different... It also contains two short stories with the same feel, but the ending sequences seem to suggest that there might be more to this miniseries than meets the eye. In particular, the second story's ending sequence seems to possibly suggest that these stories are indeed not real, but might be even just a mental construct used to "trap" the real Sentry. I guess we'll see what the rest of the series holds in store...

: Fun to read if youre in the mood for a comic
: with a Silver or Gold Age feel to it.
:
: Still not a fan of the Sentry because still
: dont believe the amount of truth with his
: origins, so far. Basically this feels like
: a fun What If story; so, may not finish the
: mini 'cuz not interested in non-616 as a
: rule. In the meantime, here's a scene from
: the issue made into a banner submission:

:
: Dislike the possibilities of
: RETCONTAMINATION! It works fine for Sentry,
: himself, but not sure its fair to the
: established Marvel heroes canon in some
: ways. Especially with the promise of the
: likes of Reed and Fury showing up.
: Thankfully this deceptively interesting and
: intentionally evasive podcast, w/Jeff
: Parker, implies this Golden Age stuff 'never
: really' existed:

:
: Also did not care with the '2nd cover blurb'
: calling them Rick Jones and the Tough Kids
: if they meant Rick Jones and the Teen
: Brigade.
:
: Not familiar with his published origin
: scenes to date but reeeally hope the
: moustached man is NOT Stark.
:
: Dont feel this was the place/way to reveal
: the (possible) name of Mad Thinker as Jose
: Santini. Its one of several reveered Marvel
: mystery monickers that should not be
: revealed as a casual throwaway line (by
: Phineas Mason no less).
:
: Not a fan of just throwing in more, AFAIK
: new, generic alien races into Earths past
: like Gorax and Torr. There are already
: plenty of unexplored, yet existing, races
: that should logically get a second showing
: first.
:
: The tradition of comic book pseudo-science
: was successfully skewed and silly for some
: wild imagination fun in these 2 tales told.
: Cool Cranio's tag line about being 3 steps
: ahead of the hero was very cute - lets see
: him go up against Quicksilver!
:
: Rest of that page:
