That's a possibility, the other (which I dread) being that it's Marvel's idea to market Sentry more ("let's depower him so people don't complain about how powerful he is, and we can use him!"). What I found strange was the glance that Tony cast to Bob after Lindy's request - Bob obviously heard it, but judging from his expression it looked like he was just sad, not shocked or puzzled or anything else. Did he know what Lindy would ask, and did he approve? Then again, if she's a Skrull, she could have easily used Bob's sense of relief and guilt to manipulate him after he found her "alive"...

Honestly, Sentry has been misused in the past couple of years - I mean, Mighty Avengers uses him as a punching bag, a supporting character or as a complete nutcase (read the solicitations for March 2008?). To a certain extent, I understand why people hate him - Marvel should have given him a solo title long before now. At the end of World War Hulk I hoped that one of the mysterious "three new ongoing series" they would announce in WWH #5 would be his (after all, his battle with the Hulk was the climax of the story) but it turned out not to be the case...

Anyway, I seriously hope that Sentry has a role to play in the Secret Invasion... Bendis having reintroduced him and being so adamant about keeping him in seems to suggest something to that effect.
