Both the Void and the Sentry are manifestations of Robert Reynolds mind. The Void is Bob's true persona. It is what first manifested when Bob drank the mega-super-soldier-serum. The Sentry persona was created by Bob's subconscious to hold back the Void. : The Void is the more powerful of the two. The Void isn't necessarily "more powerful", it's just that the Sentry is more restrained with his powers, but the Void is not. : However, the Void can only manifest at its Again, it's not really what the Sentry does, it's what Bob does. Bob is the one in control of the Void and the Sentry. : Finally, since the Void has no physical I don't think such a device would work on the Sentry now. The only reason Mastermind's powers worked on the Sentry is because Bob at that point didn't realize his powers were psionic and it left a door open for Mastermind to exploit. Bob now has an understanding of how his powers work, and the only way a telepath can access his mind is if Bob allows it. The only way to beat him psionically, is if he gets attacked by a psionic power greater than his own. : Also, is the Sentry the Sentry full times It was shown in the Sentry miniseries that Bob can change back and forth from his normal form and the Sentry form whenever he wants. At the final issue of the last Sentry series, the Void explains that it needs Bob to remember being the Sentry and to keep playing the role of the Sentry to have a meaning for it's existence. But as the Sentry said, the Void needs him, but he doesn't need the Void. The throw into the sun was more symbolic than anything. It was to show that Bob/Sentry has dominance now. But the Void could return at anytime. .

: Each time the Sentry is featured in a story
: this seems to change, but do I have it
: currently understood correctly.
:
: The Sentry is normally at about Thor-level
: of strength with perhaps higher durability,
: flight, and super-speed along with some
: other powers.
:
I personally think his average strength is somewhere around Thanos' level. But it can fluctuate based on his mental state.
: mental stability. On a good day he can hold
: his own with just about anyone. On a bad
: day he can't get out of bad.
Yep. Pretty much.
: The Void is either the dark side of Robert
: Reynolds or who Reynolds truly wants to be.
: The Void would often manifest without the
: Sentry knowing. At one point they seemed to
: separate and the sentry threw the void into
: the sun after gaining better control over
: his mind. However, due to the Void being
: part of the Sentry's mind it would return if
: the Sentry's mental stability wavered too
: much or of the Sentry called upon too much
: power.
: That is why when ever the Sentry begins to
: access to much power he risks loosing
: control. Also, previews from Mighty
: Avengers seem to confirm this.
: full power when the Sentry is in a weak
: mental state. When the Sentry is confident
: the Void either manifest in weakened version
: or cannot manifest at all. Basically when
: one is strong the other is weak, but the
: Sentry controls the relationship.
: body, but a is a projection of shorts from
: the Sentry's mind physical attacks are
: little good against it unless one can
: somehow nullify the Sentry. If one could
: figure out a way to block those projections
: (a psi-jammer maybe?) the Void would not
: appear.
: now? It seems that if Bob Reynolds really
: was the Void and the Sentry threw that
: physical being into the sun than Bob would
: be dead. The current Sentry has full
: control, but since it has all of Bob's
: memories that is why there is still the risk
: of the Void.
:
: Do I understand this correctly?
