I'd buy it, at least for the first couple of arcs. I usually give new books time to show what they can do (no "one issue or you're done" thing, which seems a bit unfair).

Depends on the creative team. I'd really like to see someone besides Jenkins or Bendis write the character. I've mentioned before that I think David Hines could do a good job. I also think someone like Grant Morrison would have a field day with Sentry. Think Animal Man, Marvel style ...

The problems of someone who's mentally ill, but also one of the most powerful beings on the planet. This really hasn't been done before -- at least in a way that's realistic. Reynold's problems are a potential goldmine of stories ... if done right.
What makes the character potentially interesting is not his power -- the whole "Superman analogue" bit -- but his humanity. He's not a flawed person, or even a necessarily noble/heroic person. He's the WRONG guy with astounding abilities and the responsbility to go with them. THAT is the engine for the series.

Same as the last mini: his wife, the dog, CLOC, and the doc. And, as I mentioned elsewhere, Dr. Faustus as a recurring villian.
