It wasn't about the Sentry so that's why he was relegated to the background. As for Hulk, based on what I've seen so far the Hulk has increasingly shown the ability to adapt and become immune to things, such as adapting the ability to breath underwater, to survive in space without air, and became immune to infection of the spike creatures on Saakar. My guess is if Sentry and Hulk face off again, the Sentry's "calming aura" won't work on the Hulk anymore. And also, it doesn't appear to me that the Hulk is just going to drop out of the sky and start tearing cities apart. It looks like he's going to be using some strategy. I also think he won't be alone, he'll likely bring some of his Saakaran allies, as well as some Saakaran weapons. They were strong enough to hurt the Hulk, then they made be strong enough to hurt even the Sentry.
