The Sentry has "the power of a thousand exploding suns." He has superstrength, superspeed, and superflight. Sentry can control light and has strong mental powers which he uses everyday to keep his evil side in check.
Sentry was the first superhero of the post WWII Marvel Universe. He befriended the Fantastic Four and the Incredible Hulk.
Sentry's greatest villain is himself, appearing as the seperate, dark figure known as the Void.
What I find appealing about Sentry is that he's a hero with unbridled power, but has to struggle with fears/doubts that can manifest into the Void, an evil entity who has that same unbridled power.
