GAP, the only info I can find on the line from holland down to Alkegan is that it is currently owned by the co-op in Hamilton and makes a run down to Hamilton from holland usuaky on Thursdays around 11 a.m. And sumtimes twice a week. The line was abandoned just after Hamilton in about 1973. So the rails in Alkegan were prolky removed circa 1973 in Alkegan on that line. Unless they stuck around longer after abandonment. I am getting another person saying the rails were in place in Alkegan up until about 1987. Also there was a wreck on the Hamilton trestle in 1908 I found a pic of. I read the line was in place along m-31 after Hamilton and railroad equipment was stored on it until the housing developments began to spring up in that area.
