Saginaw River Bridges
Posted by Doug Hefty on 12/4/2017, 11:52 am, in reply to "Re: Streeting Running in Saginaw? Water Street"
The bridge that HESR still uses near Emerson St is the former MC/NYC bridge that was also used by the GTW after they got trackage rights over NYC between MX and Mershon. The bridge that used to be just north of there that's long gone is the former GTW bridge. When I was in the National Guard, the armory was right along Water Street south of Genesee. I seem to recall some rail still there in the 70's, but can't remember if it ran along or was embedded in the street.
