Re: Port Huron C&O trestle over black River drainage creek.
Not a drainage ditch, but the Black River canal which was dug to allow lake water to flow into the river and keep it from stinking from pollution, mainly sewage. The bridge was a plate girder deck type, it's been gone for about twenty years. Peacock Lumber was the yard next to Mary Maxim, The lumber yard burned burned down in about 1971 or 72.
