Re: Bay City: depot locations
Here is a rough outline of Bay City depot locations. GTW had a depot downtown at Seventh and Saginaw Sts. This depot was demolished in the 1950s. GTW had a Freight House and Depot on the westside at Williams and John streets. The freight house burned down in the 1970s and the depot was removed during the 1980s. The PM depot is of course still standing at Boutell Place. The DBC&W Depot was roughly at Madison and Woodside. I don't Believe that a photo of this depot exists. The MC westside Depot was located were the H&E crosses Marquette ST. There was a viaduct located here for the streetcar to cross the railroad. The structures near Maplewood Manor are the REA Building And a portion of the depot. The depot burned down during the 1950s. Finally the interurban had a depot in the Wenona Hotel right across fro the current Double Tree Hotel.
