Fantastic link. Thanks. Priceless stuff there. The DSS&A site only shows their sleepers assigned as far south as Mackinaw City altho it seems odd they would go the expense of transporting a railroad car across the Straits for the convenience and comfort of probably at most a dozen first class passengers. Then reload it on Wawatam for return to St. Ignace and west to Duluth and points in between. So turning a car over to the Michigan Central in MC would make more sense. But at some point, because all DSS&A sleepers (Dayton made) were wood clad, I would think the Michigan Central would have stopped handling them probably by the end of the 20s. Just a guess.
