There was a decent sized yard at the top of the hill, in Valparaiso itself, but if this were the end of the line, they would have needed to transfer cars to a yard on the receiving railroad, or build the yard next to it's mainline. And as witnessed by the road views, the ROW is on a rise, and other than the trail where the other mainline used to be, there is no evidence of other tracks in this area.
