At one time, there were two Railroads that serviced the Village of Akron. One was the Detroit, Bay City, & Western. The other was Saginaw, Tuscola & Huron RR-----> Pere Marquete-----> C&O-----> CSX-----> HESR
There was a Diamond south of M-138 and west of Merry Rd. See images, the first is a North Tuscola County track plan. The second is the ST&H Akron Depot & Freight House. The third is the D,BC&W Depot.
