PM Reeds Lake Branch, GR to EGR

Does anyone know when the remainder of the Reeds Lake Branch between Eastern Ave. and Giddings, was removed? According to Mr. Meints, the branch was opened by the Grand Rapids, Lansing and Detroit (controlled by the Detroit, Lansing and Northern) in August, 1888. The last 1.4 miles, Kalamazoo Avenue to Reeds Lake was abandoned in 1934 by the PM. The remaining 1.1 miles, from what was Oakdale Park (Eastern Ave.) to Giddings was reclassified as yard at the same time. It is shown on these maps from the Kent County 1960 Atlas (Historic Map Works). It has since been removed. I think I can remember seeing it in disrepair in the early 1980s, but I can't be sure.
