Used to have pictures, but, as I said before, haven't seen them in a long time...lost to the sands of time as you say...there was one old spur track that survived into the 2000 era, the one that went directly sounth along Kearsley street that used to service a couple of warehouses. Last I knew, a very short section of it still exists, buried in asphalt and dirt. The mill in the story is just south of 2nd Avenue, west of Grand Traverse street. Dover Garage Door still has a business there, and up until the abandonment of the old main thru downtown, received rail service.
