The Ludington coal tower was also built by Fairbanks-Morse. About 10 years ago there was still a FM logo on the west side up high that was clearly visible with a zoom lens. Somewhere I have a legible photo of it.
I think the Baldwin one is a C&O standard design that was used elsewhere. Maybe other roads used it too - Walthers did a verion in HO which was a very good match for the Baldwin tower.
