The I-69 bridge, put in early 60's, spans over both GTW and AA grade. The nearby Old M-78/Lansing Hwy current Bridge does NOT span over the abandoned AARR Grade. Not sure what the history of the M78 bridge is/was, but looks like there may have been a grade crossing at one time. Possible a previously existing bridge?...? The old Lansing Hwy. was built in the 20's. Old old M-78 was Newburgh Road and Grand River Av. (Shia. County).
So much for the bike path connecting one side of the expressway to the other .
AA tracks still in place in Vernon to Glasser lumber, now used for storage. Tracks also still in place in the yard, used for coal car storage so I see.
Lost and stranded rail customers...Corunna Elevator & Michigan Brick...although I'm not sure how long they stopped shipping.
