The only thing I can find in Eastern Michigan Rode The Rails and the CERA Bulletin 103 is the references to the Detroit Monroe and Toledo Railway. Line ran from Fort Street to Toledo through Monroe...that would have put it farily close to Waltz...which I remember from my GRP to Toledo job days on CSX to be down that a way somewheres...I seem to remember a Waltz Road crossing...back in the dark days of being on those nasty Toledo jobs...
