AA's Flagout resulted in reopening the connection with Soo Line. Most of the traffic was potash. SOO got double whammed by the Flagout having to use two lake ferries when they would have rathered used their Chicago connections to interchange cars. During the Flagout period AA averaged around 10,000 cars annually of ferry traffic and MIGN about 5,000.
