This was just one of many line relocations, some to get out of the swamps,others to reduce line curves and elevation changes. There was even grading done to try and force people to raise money to built the railroad. It is interesting that the railroad was build with no ends, the State Line RR supplied the south end while the Frankfort and South Eastern supplied the north end. Several books have been done on the Ann Arbor RR relocations. We have one of the books at the flea markets on the South Lyons branch and line changes around Lakeland and Hamburg area, the area around Farwell to Temple is sold out.
Check to libraries most of the books went to them.
