Re: MIGN and Ann Arbor
This gets back to something I have never understood. Officially, MIGN had no access south of Comstock Park. I have heard that multiple times from different sources. BUT, I have several photos that I have collected over the years that show MIGN sitting just north of Ann St. at Fuller Jct. When did MIGN start to access the Conrail yard north of Ann St.? Did this give them a connection with Chessie and the GTW through that interchange track that was in the NE quadrant of Fuller Jct.? Meaning, was there a connector between the GRI and C&O trackage in this yard area? One of the photos I have shows a GTW GP9 going on this interchange track headed toward a MIGN train sitting in Fuller. Sorry, but I am confused about what trackage rights arrangements MIGN had to Grand Rapids.
