IIRC the two largest on line customers for MIGN was the lime place near Sand Lake and the gas place near Kalkaska. From what I've read both were good for about 400-500 cars a year. Probably not enough to support 230 or so miles of mainline track. Of course when MIGN operated the AA they had the sand mine which shipped 60-80 cars a week.
