Boy I have to confess I thought the same thing. I also took several photos of it but can't locate them. That was back around 1976 or so. The building wasn't boarded up then and you could walk inside.
It seemed to be somewhat cutup like maybe a three room house but unlike the outside it didn't seem to have any railroad like draw inside. There was no drywall only the studs of the partition walls. I don't recall seeing any evidence of electrical wiring or such, nor any evidence of heating.
I know think it was just a farm house or maybe a school house but the placement of the front door seemed odd to me. Probably had a long gone porch. Bet MRR could tell us a few things about it. Hey Mark what do you make of it?
I thought at the time it surely must have been along the route of the DBC&W. I now know I was incorrect.
