There has been some debate on when the TS&M started running to Owosso Jct. The TS&M's mainline from Ashley to Muskegon was completed on 12-25-1887 and passenger service was with two "Caboach" (passenger carrying caboose). In the spring of 1888 real passenger service was started. On Aug. 1st 1888 the GT took control of the TS&M. The Greenville newspaper was a weekly paper in 1888 and on Aug. 7th they carried a TS&M timetable showing all trains turning at Ashley. On the 15th there wasn't a timetable and on Aug. 22nd the timetable showed the trains all running to Owosso Jct. So the date would be sometime between Aug. 7th and 22nd. Does anyone find this as interesting as I do? I also found out some of the TS&M's passenger cars weren't retired until 1949 (in work service). TN
