I once got paddled in elementary school for flunking a music test! Not for being a smart-mouth, or fighting or doing anything really bad. Just failed a test. Which turned out to not be because I was a poor student (I wasn't) but I had poor eyesight, couldn't see the test questions written on the board, and was too embarrassed to let the teacher know. Hard to believe they got away with stuff like that. JR
