Whenever any of my kids were grumpy as babies, I used to sing either "Twist and Shout" by the Beatles or "I Feel Good" by James Brown and make them "dance" on my lap by holding them up under their arms so that their feet would be on my thighs and gently bounce them to simulate dancing. 9 times out of 10, it would bring the glorious sound of baby giggles.
