2008 was a real mixed bag for me. On the plus side, I started a great job at a great company and kept my New Years' resolution to keep a journal again, on the minus side, 3 people close to me are having serious medical issues and it looks like 2 of them may not be around for 2010.
That hasn't happened yet though, so overall I'd give 2008 a thumbs up, with low expectations for 2009 on several fronts.
