I've always thought New Year's resolutions were a bit silly. If you have something to change, why not just do it now? Nonetheless, this time of the year always seems to inspire people to make changes in their lives, or at least to think of things they'd like to change. So, anyone make any of these silly things this year?
What I'd like to accomplish:
- get more cardio endurance. I lift weights all the time, but have been ignoring cardio. I have run a couple 5Ks and hated it! But I'd like to be able to run a 10K this year w/o dying.
- find peace. Seriously. I have a very short temper, and it's stupid, because I get ticked off at stupid stupid crap. There are people in the world with real, life or death problems, and I'm fuming because the remote control to my satellite radio (in my car no less) stopped working? Give me a freaking break!
- say no to chocolate chip cookies (that one has 0% chance of sticking)
- land a great job at the CDC (which is not up to me really)
- resume piano lessons as soon as the MBA is done
- get back to writing
Anyone else?
