Well, our freezer is now overflowing with 350 pounds of moose meat. Walt & I went out Saturday and just as I was about to give up, I found a trail that I had not gone down before. We walked the trail for about half a mile and I suggested we sit down for a while and hopefully somthing might come in behind us. Sure enough, on the way out I saw her up a hill 80 yards away. Got her in one shot through the heart and lungs so I dind't ruin any meat. We field dressed her there then went home but couldn't come back with the horse to pull her out until Sunday morning because of the sleet and ice. Spent the rest of yesterday butchering the 900-1000 lb animal.
Dang I am glad to be done with that!!
