She'll be 11 in a month. I've decided to go ahead and let her shave. She's mortified by the dark hair that's coming in, and I don't want her to be the girl that all the other girls laugh at. (That was me... I know how hurtful it is.)
So... We went and bought her own razors and her own shave cream yesterday. We'll see how it goes.
*siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh*
She already has to wear a bra every day. I'm not ready for my baby to grow up.

: So Alex is what? 10? 11? I believe I was
: about 11 or so when I first started shaving.
: I used to sneek my dad's razor and use it,
: not realizing that my leg hair was tougher
: than his facial hair. My poor dad's face...

: My daughter is in 5th grade and will be
: eleven
: in just over a month. Over the summer she
: was mortified at the discovery of dark hairs
: on her legs, and now she's bringing up the
: subject of shaving. I hesitate to let her
: because I don't think she's old enough, but
: I have a tendency to forget that she's older
: than I want her to be!
:
: How old were you when you started shaving,
: or let your daughters start shaving? I think
: I was around my daughter's age, either 5th
: or 6th grade, or between the two. I know it
: was definitely before 7th grade. And she's
: MUCH more girly than I ever was. She's
: already begun perfecting her "runway
: walk" in HEELS no less, so she can be a
: model.
:
: Oh crap, I'm in trouble.
