I truly don't get why a person would throw their entire life away in order to have sex with a student. It isn't a Florida centric thing either. we've had female teachers do the same here. And one of my teacher friends works with a another teacher whose husband was getting the Monica treatment from one of his students.
Two years later, they have had another child and are still together, which I truly don't get. The man ruins his career and reputation, and his wife decides to have another kid with him. I know where this couple lives and have said hi to them with my friend when we go running. It is bizarre.
