Here is what I think could make sense for the Pack this year, then in a year draft a stud RB and #1 WR:
Round 1: trade our 1st and 6th with Denver for one of their two second round picks, plus their 4th (to be honest I don't know if the math on that make sense I'm just kind of guessing). This assumes they want to move up for CB Jimmy Smith
Round 2: Bruce Carter, OLB North Carolina. He may not be able to play for a year, but this gives us Clay's bookend
Round 2: Tanden Doss, WR Indiana. 6'3" possession receiver with good hands and slot skills to replace DD.
Round 3: Joseph Barksdale, RT, LSU. If he is just smart and coach-able enough...
Round 4 (from Denver): Will Rackey OG. I keep reading great things about this guy, that he could possibly even play RT
Round 4: Edmund Gates, WR/KR, Abilene Christian. Kind of a flyer NPI
Round 5 (compensation for Kampman): Delone Carter RB Syracuse to replace Brandon Jackson as 3rd down back. I think Jackson would be idiotic to leave, and if the RB draft was deeper I would advocate for replacing Grant this draft but it's not
Round 5: Cedric Thornton, DT Southern Arkansas. Talented project
Round 6 (trade for Barnett): Chykie Brown, CB Texas. Talented project
Round 6 (from Denver): Ryan Bartholomew, C Syracuse. Strong, mobile
Round 7: Jock Sanders, WR/KR West Virginia. Fast/quick with a name worthy of Mr. Irrelevant
