Dan, I really don't get into the "the team I support is the greatest organization in the league" argument because it doesn't matter to me. I don't need to feel that way about them and I have no idea if they are or aren't because I don't analyze every team's organization. If they Packers are the best, great. If they aren't, I love them anyway. I want the team to do well and they are doing well.
That being said I'm not of the mindset that the franchise 'owed' anything to Favre especially after he retired. However,I don't feel like he owed the Packers anything, either. He was well worth the money they paid him and then some.
