This is just all crap. Another attempt to change someones mind. It won't happen, simple.
If you remember back in '07 it came down to the Giants vs Packers at Lambeau. And it ended with an errant pass by Favre to a Giant that ended with the Giants getting a FG in overtime.
Everybody and I mean everybody thought that Favre just didn't look good in the second half because of the cold. Everybody thought that he could have thrown the ball to any number of people that were in the clear.
But no one thought that he would retire after being so close to getting to the SB and having an MVP season. Yet he did retire.
On several occasions he was asked to come back or if he wanted to return for the next season. Right up to draft day he was asked and his response was, "I am retired and will remain retired". Thus the team went onto the heir apparent.
As for why there is such a divide. The word "hate" was coined by those that didn't like TT for going on to Rodgers. They, the fans that coined the phrase, said many personal things, and I for one took those statements personally thus responded in kind.
Many of these fans also say that TT handled the Favre thing wrong, I ask why, he did what any GM would have done, he got something for a player under contract. What is it that makes that so wrong, because TT wouldn't just let Favre walk was a sound decision.
Too others that say Favre earned the right. That is just BS, he got paid to play to the highest level he was capable to play. If anything he owed us for paying him over 100 million not to mention all the off field shit.
The team that I love will always be defended by me and if people think it is necessary to attack then I will respond likewise. The Green Bay Packer organization is of the highest quality in the league. And those that think different can then support another team, which most of them do anyway.
