He is not perfect but he almost played a perfect game last week. In the NFL today do you take Brady or Manning over Aaron? I do not think so.
There have been many good players over the years who benefited from players around them in team situations. Joe Montana was one of them. I watched him play for several years with the likes of Roger Craig, Jerry Rice, pro bowl TE's and defensive stars all over the place as well as 2-3 probowl offensive linemen each year. Yeah no free agency, so they kept them for their careers.
When all is said and done, Aaron may not have the team awards meaning as many Superbowls, but I predict his numbers will be much better than Montana. Who in my opinion needed those good players. Why would I dare say that?
He did not have the great arm. He was diminutive in stature at 190 lbs. If he had landed in Green Bay which he almost did, I dont see the success. GB had bad offensive lines.
With the skill people Aaron has around him, minus the good offensive line; he has more talent than Montana did. He will have more touchdowns, and yards once the smoke clears.
I wasnt for Aaron. I didnt even believe in him. I admit I was wrong about him and I think he has went past anyones hopes. He is in my opinion as good as anyone if not the best.
