I know people somehow think he's untouchable in all this, but it's time someone spoke the truth about the guy who has supposedly "replaced the legend".
The best way to describe Aaron is "limited". He has a role in the offense and that's it. He won't carry a team, and will never be "great".
He has three reads. 2 of which happen to be to one of the best WR duos in the NFL. (so it tends to make u look good) When those 3 tiny reads are not open, he holds onto the ball and gets sacked, or he throws it to someone covered and it is picked off or incomplete 90% of the time.
It’s working right now because of his receivers, but he is a QB that fits into a system. This type can be adequate, but don’t expect greatness, don’t expect him to carry a team. As we are seeing, some nice fantasy stats don’t translate into wins. His TD’s don’t come when you really need them. He doesn’t make the plays that actually win the games, and his turnovers tend to come at the worst possible time.
I think too many people are blinded by stats and don’t realize that 200 yards from one QB, can be completely ineffective against 150 yards from another. If your numbers don’t translate into wins, something needs to change.
Aaron is cocky. He makes faces and smirks when they fail to convert. When he gets sacked he angrily refuses to be helped up by his line. He yells at his line like Dan Marino. When a player drops the ball, he grabs his helmet and looks into the sky angrily as if to say WTF??!!! And instead of throwing the ball to an open Donald Lee, he instead tells him to block, either not trusting his receiver and he’s the only one that can actually win on this team, or he just wants the glory himself.
