If this was Brett three years ago, I would be worried about Favre's mental state. I'm sure the game would play out like Favre's first game against Mike Holmgren all those years ago.
However this time around, Brett seems to have emotions in check for the past two seasons come gametime. He also seems to realize winning and losing isn't totally dependent on him anymore (not counting the 49er game), so he doesn't have to force anything.
I do believe, and I hope I'm right about this, that Brett believes beating the Packers is more important than him having 4TD's and 300 yards and therefore forcing a lot of big throws.
Assuming Brett does his job in that respect, I think the Packers poor offensive line, inability to stop the run, and banged up secondary will lead to a solid Vikings win.
On paper I almost expect a domination with the Vikes personnel on all sides of the ball. I think the only way the Vikings can lose is if Brett feels emotional and overdoes it. If he plays the way he's played the first three weeks the Vikings will be fine.
It also depends if Mike McCarthy will take this personally and stack his defense to stop AP or to stop Brett. I'd be happy with Brett having 150 yards, Adrian having 200 yards and the Vikings win. I'm sure if that happened most moronic Packer fans would view this is a victory for them.
I would be very worried about Charles Woodson, and I expect Aaron Rodgers to run for about 50 yards which will be key on 2nd and 3rd downs.
